2-039 Happiness is a state of mind

He’s so wrong, but he really does have a point there!

Dwaas’ home stage

I build this stage about half a year ago and I was really looking forward to using it. I love Dwaas’ place as it looks now. It’s a bit messy, but hey, it’s home! There are so many details to like (or dislike maybe 😉 ). Even a couple of things that won’t even be seen in the comic. I kinda like it that way; knowing there is more than will be shown.
I’m also pleased with the lighting of this scene for once. Especially the lighting of Dwaas’ face. Most of the light comes from above and it brings a dark shadow over the eyes of Dwaas. Normally I would put in an extra light from below to light up the eyes, but I didn’t do that now. I feel the darkness in Dwaas’ eyes reflects his mood perfectly.
I still have trouble with the artificial lighting in a lot of my photographs. I just can’t seem to get it right most of the times. Sometimes, I love how it works out, but it mostly feels like lucky shots. Maybe it has something to do with the lights itself that I use, but probably not. Its probably about camerasettings and such. Anyway, I’m still looking for some help; an online course or very good book or something. Do you have any idea?
