2-033 Monstrous meditation

Aware… but not of the ghostly apparition!

Have you ever seen a ghost? I did…

Okay… and now for something completely different! Have you ever seen a ghost?
I see myself as a pretty down to earth guy, but I believe I’ve seen something of that nature once. The most unusual part of it, was that I was not alone and that I was with a friend who saw the same thing.

It was night (of course) and we were standing in front of the entrance to a bikelane. This lane went on for about fifty meters, and to the left and right of the lane are large thick hedges.
So, we were talking and just returned from a movie, did not have any alcohol b.t.w. (We were seventeen, years old and yes, in Netherlands, it was legal to drink back then).
It was windy and at some point We saw someone moving towards us/ the entrance to the bikelane on a bike. It was a squeaky old bike and the person sitting on it wore a large black hat and his clothes were “flapping” in the wind as he was slowly moving towards us. We were standing on opposite sides of the bikelane and stepped back to let him pass between us.
One or two seconds after passing us the squeaking stopped and we both turned our heads into the bikelane… the lane was empty, he couldn’t have turned another way and he was was gone, besides the wind it was quiet. My friend and I looked at each other and both confirmed what we saw. We left… quickly!
I saw the same person on this bike twice again, years later, both in very different places, but I could never reach him before he was gone again. Scares the hell out of me every time.

Do you have a story like this? Are you aware? Not only of the world inside of you, but also of the world around you? And even of a possible world around us that is not quite clear to everybody?
