2-100 How did he get here?

Yes, the green hue is intentional! Why do you say? Most of you will already have figured it out I guess, and the others will know within a few episodes I hope…

Episode 100!

We’re already at episode 100, can’t believe the second comic has been running for a year already. How time flies!

Priorities. I was never that good at prioritising. I just did everything (or nothing sometimes 😉 ). As I grow older, and start running out of time, I’m feeling the necessity for prioritising. I did this at work and it brought me a breath of fresh air. At home, I did the same to a certain extent. It’s still not that easy, you really have to find out what is important to you. What adds value to your life, what doesn’t… and what things are worth the time you give to it. And then I need to try and stick to it. The most difficult part is not doing other things that don’t add value. Let’s see how that goes.

Of course, Foolish Lego is in the higher regions of what I really like to do. A man needs his hobbies! On the other hand, I noticed the website is taking up more and more of my time. Also, I found out that, for now, I love knowing about storytelling, screenwriting, cinematography and such. However, I don’t have the time to dive deep into it. Yet, I really, reaLLY, REALLY want to. And so, I went back to my priorities, but now focused on Foolish Lego. I decided that I will stop the daily photography. The days that I don’t have inspiration and don’t add to the website I will gladly drop. The time that is freed up by looking for inspiration, shooting photo, etc… I can use to work on other things, most importantly, I can use it to improve the comic! The photo’s I will make will be the result of fun, inspiration and study. I kinda look forward to that. (however, I do hope that the loss of the daily pressure won’t stop me from making photo’s)

At this moment, my focus is more and more on the comic, with the single photos on the side. Trying techniques, lighting etc… I’ve come to the understanding that it’s better to do one thing with 100% attention, that do two things with less attention than they deserve. And Foolish Lego has always been two things without focusing on one or the other. Again, I won’t stop photography… it’ll just not be every day, this will improve the site, the comic and also the quality of the photography! Actually, i’m already looking forward to it 🙂
