2-058 Mystery of Fronkenbrick

I have a feeling that, even if he wasn’t missing, dr. Fronkenbrick would’ve had a hard time getting rid of this mayor.

Ghosts of buildings past

When I was in high school, the building next to the high school was abandoned. It was an old villa and all the windows and doors were boarded up. Sometimes we saw people wandering around the building and sometimes in the evening, when we took our bike to cycle in or out of town we passed the building in the dark and saw lights once in a while. We never thought of ghosts living there… or Fronkenbricks “monster’ for that matter. It turned out that it were homeless people and/ or drug addicts living there, nothing too mysterious about that. A couple of years later the building was renovated to become artist studios and again a few years later to become high priced apartments. There were many of those abandoned buildings in the city back then… these days (almost) none of them are left. Some of them demolished… some of them renovated. It’s a shame some of them are really gone replaced by, nothing special, modern buildings. On the other hand it’s great to see the ones that are renovated, former beauty in a new coat. Nice!
